Volunteer Coordinator

Role Description:

Facilitate the recruitment and initiation of volunteers in accordance with the Bright One’s mission, principles and values. This involves being the first point of contact that potential volunteers have when enquiring about positions, approving applications, and assigning volunteers to the positions most suited to their skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage the volunteer recruitment process
  • Volunteer management including initiation and role assignment
  • Maintenance of the volunteer database
  • Feedback to volunteers, reward and recognition, exit interviews
  • Performance management of volunteers in collaboration with Strategic Consultants
  • Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies to meet client needs

  • Knowledge / experience in recruitment

Commitment of Time:

The amount of time required by the Volunteer Coordinator is set as a guideline at four hours a week. At times longer hours might be necessary, but as a volunteer-led and volunteer-staffed organisation, we are dependent on individuals’ availability and commitment.
