Fundraising Manager

Role Description:

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for achieving an agreed money-raising target by approaching trusts, corporations, statutory bodies, major donors, individuals and other potential sources of funding. Working closely with the Management Team, the Fundraising Manager’s role is to increase the contributions of individuals and groups by building relationships and exploring new fundraising ideas.

Responsibilities:

  • Devising and implementing a mid- to long-term funding strategy.
  • Developing fundraising from relevant government agencies, charitable trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, legacies and payroll giving.
  • Build and maintain profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with donors and potential donors
  • Manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information
  • Make risk analyses and balancing time to fFocus effort upon the most appropriate fundraising activities with the highest chance of success

Commitment of Time:

The amount of time required by the Fundraising Manager is set as a guideline at four hours a week. At times longer hours might be necessary, but as a volunteer-led and volunteer-staffed organisation, we are dependent on individuals’ availability and commitment.
