Role Description:
The purpose of an Account Executive is to look after the day-to-day running of the account and the client work involved in this. It’s a hands-on role where you will be undertaking a wide variety of tasks, from writing press releases to speaking to bloggers. Most importantly, you’ll able to see the fruits of your labour and how the work you produce makes a difference to the client and the people they are trying to help.
Volunteering at Bright One represents a hand-on learning experience. Each volunteer will be part of a team led by an experienced PR professional who will guide project work and share their experience and knowledge in the process. Bright One will endeavour to provide training sessions with PR professionals and to signpost relevant opportunities with other organisations.
Responsiblities:
Complete work set by the Account Manager
Work closely with an Account Manager and other Account Executives to ensure that work is completed on time and to a professional quality
Suggest ideas and strategies learned while studying to ensure that the communications strategy are high quality
Provide feedback on your volunteering experience when required
Communicate any issues to your Account Manager or the Volunteer Coordinator where appropriate
The Individual:
Commitment to Bright One’s vision and mission
Interest in pursuing a career in public relations, communications and related industries
Good grasp of the English language, especially writing skills including spelling and grammar
A basic understanding of the public relations industry and the work it does
