The party also saw the announcement of the UnLtdWorld BRIC Award Winners. The BRIC Awards aim to recognise the most active, inspiring and original members of UnLtdWorld, as voted for by its community. Bright One was part of the  25 nominees selected and was up for the ‘Up and Coming’ award. Unfortunately we didn’t win, but a big congrats to Kelvin from Foodworks who took home the award for that category and well done to all the other nominees and winners on the night.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, take the time to look at UnLtdWorld. The online community connects social entrepreneurs to the people, tools and information they need to change the world. Launched in March 2008, UnLtdWorld now has thousands of members, each adding content, sharing resources and collaborating on a daily basis.

Version 2 is being rolled out as we speak, so we look forward to continue to contribute to this fantastic community and seeing how it has developed further in a year’s time!

Bright One has been nominated for the inaugral UnLtdWorld BRIC Awards! The BRIC Awards are UnLtdWorld’s answer to the Empire Film Awards – not quite the Oscars, but voted for by the public – so they count for more! They aim to recognise the most active, inspiring and original members of UnLtdWorld, as voted for by its community.

According to the UnLtd World blog entry, “the BRIC Awards encapsulate what UnLtdWorld stands for; Business, Resources, Insight and Community – and members selected as nominees reflect a well rounded approach to those elements.”
