Volunteers work remotely, but we do encourage face to face meetings, which normally take place once a month.
Volunteers spend a maximum of 4 hours per week working on campaigns, but depending on the client and the amount of activity they have, the time spent volunteering usually works out at 2-3 hours per week.
As work generally takes 2-3 hours per week, this is easily achievable across several weekday evenings or on a weekend morning/evening. Some volunteers have agreements with their employers where they can do a certain amount of work during work hours.
Team Structure
Each team is overseen by experienced PR professionals, with hands-on support from junior and student volunteers. Each volunteer is expected to spend no more than four hours a week on Bright One work.
Strategic Consultants
Professionals with more than five years industry experience, strategic consultants provide strategic directions across a range of accounts, as well as guidance and advice to account managers and account executives.
Account Managers
Professionals with more than three years industry experience and at least 6 months experience in account management. Account managers are expected to lead the running of an account and be the client key contact.
Senior Account Executives
Professionals with at least one year industry experience, this is a chance for junior PR professionals to use their skills and experience to deliver client work to an advanced standard while helping other team members to fulfill their roles.
Account Executives
Students, graduates and career changers, this is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable practical experience and a chance to use the skills to make a real and noticeable difference.
